PRICING OPTIONS
A) Bulk Pricing PAPERBACKS: Our discounted rate cannot drop below the minimum price set by CreateSpace, this type of order offers the fastest monetary return for the fund raising event. Paid in full at time of purchase by the organization then a "resale event" and retail price set by the Fund Raiser. Left over books can be used for future events, given as 'gifts' to generous donors, raffled or put up in an in-house retail station such as a gift shop, until all units are sold. No returns accepted. There are two types of Bulk Sales:
1) Arranged Directly through the Peacocks thereby garnering the lowest possible purchase price. This is available because the person who "published with CreateSpace" purchases the order, not a 'wholesaler or retailer.' Payments can be made by certified check, business or personal check (with waiting period of up to 10 business days for funds to clear), money order or Paypal. Our representative will contact you for payment method and requires 'lag time.'
**S&H within the United States and Canada is calculated based on weight and UPS (not united postal service) rates via CreateSpace's site Only. Shipping outside these areas may incur further shipping costs. We cannot ship using any other method as CreateSpace only ships through UPS and it is added onto the purchase price at 'check out' when ordering. A 'screenshot' of the order and shipping charges will be calculated and emailed to the organization before the purchase for the correct amount of funds to be sent using a 'dummy order' as a receipt of estimated shipping cost.
****Paypal charges a 4% fee for transferring funds which may impact the total number of books purchased if choosing this method.
2) Arrange through CreateSpace aStore so that the organization can purchase books in bulk.This is DIFFERENT THAN THE ABOVE BULK BUYING OPTION Directly through the Peacocks, in that funds go directly through CreateSpace, a coupon code is assigned and the actual purchase price is higher because a 'retailer or wholesaler' is purchasing. With this method, the money goes through CreateSpace, not paypal, without the associated lag time or fees. This allows an Organization to continually restock gift shops or funding events in their time frames and budgets. They set the retail price. Shipping Costs are determined directly in the 'check out' process and are part of the CreateSpace site, who only ship in bulk using UPS per their representatives (Jan 1, 2013). Shipping outside the US may incur International shipping fees.
The difference in the purchase price and publisher's price is paid out to the Peacocks to support other charities, minus a small administration fee of 2%. The 2% fee becomes part of the Peacock's funds for operational costs such as publishing, legal, business and accounting fees. Payout threshold must meet the CreateSpace's $100 (UDS) minimum threshold before funds are released to the Peacocks. Quarterly Statements will be sent to the organization via email for full disclosure purposes.
B) Coupon Codes for On-Line Sales through Amazon of Paperback Editions ONLY.
Percentage rates are discussed with the fund raising organization and can be tailored to their needs. Goals for amount of money and dates are discussed. This is a great option for continued long-term funding in conjunction with bulk order or by iteslf. Multiple Codes can be given with varying % of savings off of retail, not to exceed CreateSpace's predetermined lowest price. Screenshot images will be emailed to the Organization of the LOWEST PRICE THRESHOLD for the purpose of full disclosure. The concern with this option is the length of time for funds to pay out and no guarantee of sales making the payout threshold within any Quarterly period. CreateSpace/Amazon may take up to 8 months to process funds to the Peacocks who then forwards to the Organization. Benefits of this type of program is the flexibility to run a world wide event/program. Codes can be given for a short term or long term use by the Organization. They could keep the codes and use annually during a fund drive, use for a one time event world-wide, or any combination. As Amazon and CreateSpace grow, so does your reach. Right now CreateSpace ships to the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
They should be expanding into India, Japan, and China soon as Amazon already is publishing ebooks in these countries. It is only a matter of time.
C) EBOOKS: No coupon is offered on ebooks at this time, however Amazon's Policies are constantly changing and this may become available in the future. If we know the timeframe of an event we can arrange a FREE WEEKEND download date as a THANK YOU or FREEBIE for other purchases made OR as a gift for a monetary donation. (EXAMPLE: buy two titles get an ebook free OR Donate $25 get a free ebook). The Organizations would give out a flyer, printed handout, or email with the name of the Title and Date available for the FREEBIE. The Freebie closed after 48 hours and runs from 12 AM PST to 12 AM PST (pacific standard time)
Income is generated by direct purchases only. No guarentee of sales is given as all ebooks can be 'returned' by Amazon regulations at this time, thereby facilitating a possible loss to the account. A Report of sales linked to that title is generated Quarterly. Funds are paid out At a Minimum Sales Threshold of $100 increments set by Amazon, 30 days after a fiscal quarter has ended by Amazon to the Peacocks. This is not a viable fund raising option for anything other than if we arrange for a FREE WEEKEND or limited time price reduction as a "thank you." BENEFIT of using an Ebook as a 'promo,' freebie or thank you is it is available WORLD WIDE and can be read on any device including iphones and ipads!

a) Special Illustrated Paperback Edition
AS A COUPON ONLINE for AMAZON: price is $10.45 (USD) and is the lowest we can offer. This is approx. 28% off Retail but profit margin generated is minimal at this % rate. % Rates can be adjusted for higher profits. Best profits and high rate of purchases by buyers are at 10-25% off retail price. (A person buys online using the coupon code and it is shipped directly to them. They pay S&H and taxes and you do not have to worry about excess product or unsold units. You get the net profits from the aStore purchase. Quarterly statements provided.
AS A COUPON TO BULK ORDER TO THE CHARITY THROUGH CREATESPACE PRICE IS $10.45 (USD) + S&H. ORGANIZATION sets the retail price and usually captures the cost of S+H /taxes with a 50-100% markup in retail setting and Taxes are the responsibility of the organization to either charge at retail or include in price.
AS A BULK ORDER TO THE CHARITY GROUP Directly from the Peacocks price is $6.31 (USD) + S&H based on weight and UPS only. Online price: $16.99 - if resold by Charity this is 50-60% Profit Margin per book plus the buyer does not pay the S&H, you do, so you can mark up to add into purchase price, or not, at your discretion. Don't forget to include taxes in your pricing, however, funds must be paid in advance to one of the founding member's business' accounts, then purchased by her. Why? This 'Rock Bottom' price is the "publisher's price", not available to anyone else but the person who uploaded the document to CreateSpace. Until funding for becoming a registered 501(c)3 is obtained, listing the organization as publishers is not feasible due to banking requirement.

b) Plain Text Paperback Edition
AS A COUPON CODE ONLINE for AMAZON : Price is $3.59 using a 55% off coupon. This is the lowest we can go. Charity gets minimal amount. Decreasing the % rate increases the charities profits. Person buys on line, paying for shipping and taxes. The Charity gets the net proceeds paid out within 8 months if meets minimum pay out thresholds set by POD Service.
AS 55% OFF Coupon for BULK PURCHASE TO ORGANIZATION: Price is $3.59 (USD) and is the lowest we can offer based on CreateSpace' minimum sale price. This is 55% off regular retail price of $7.99, but funds generated for the charity are minimal at this % rate. Within 6-8 months a check can be generated to the organization if there are further sales and with the difference between the Wholesale Price and Publisher's Price minus a 2% admin fee. (See explanation above).
AS A BULK ORDER TO THE CHARITY GROUP through the Peacock Writers: Price is $2.15 + S&H based on weight and shipped UPS only. This is a 65-72% profit margin per book if resold at the $7.99 Amazon Price, however, funds must be paid through to one of the founding member's business' accounts, then purchased by her. Why? This Rock Bottom price is the "publisher's price" and not available to anyone else but the individual assigned as the publisher. A 'lag' time will be required.
**The Peacock Writers Reserve the right to change POD suppliers without notice to the Fund Raising Organizations. IF a POD account is altered or deleted, The Peacock Writers have an obligation to notify all said participants with long term accounts or coupon codes in a timely manner. No form of monetary compensation will be given for inconvenience in account changes, but every reasonable attempt to meet printing obligations are to be performed by The Peacock Writers before changing POD Services or alternate printing options discussed with Fund Raising Organization.
